Transcript: Hypothesis: Knowing that children with characteristics of autism are often drawn to the iPad, I hypothesized that adding visually interesting apps from the iPad into my gym station would help draw my subjects in and help them better attend to the group activity. Data Collection: I took data pre-iPad use to see how often I had to either verbally or physically redirect my sujects during my group session. Then I continued to take data after I introduced the iPad to see how its use affected my subjects' ability to stay with the group plan. Problem: Many of the students with characteristics of autism did not like to follow the "group plan" requiring one on one assistance from a teacher to transition between groups and stay with a group. Transcript: Multi-Touch Screen On the bottom half of the iPad there is the Home Button. This button will always take you back to the Home Screen. It is also a short-cut Customizing iPad Sleep/Wake Button I know you have all seen the iPad, but if you don't know how to use its cool features it would just be an oversized phone. The iPad is a multi-touch screen, so all you need to do is tap, drag, swipe, and pinch with your finger You can customize your iPad by rearranging your apps or change the wallpaper of the screen. Hold the Home Button until apps shake then move them around to your liking. To change wallpaper go to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a new wallpaper Home Button Introduction The iPad comes with USB power adapter and Lighting to USB cable To lock your iPad press the Seep/Wake Button.
